Hey Everyone,

 I know it's been awhile since I blogged but needed 

a quick break for school. I know I always bring you 

the hot new trends and now I'm bringing to you some-

thing else that's hot. I am working to launch a  
new mobile search engine called get fugu. It is 

a new innovative and revolutionary way to search 

for things in your area. They us a motto of see 

it, say it, and get it. I find this to be an 

awesome way to search for things. It's an 

application that anyone with a blackberry,

IPhone, and android can download for free. 

Get fugu is easy to use, to see it all you 

have to do is take a picture of a logo and 

the app searches for the nearest store to your 

location. Now say it, is just say the company,

store, or thing you are looking for and it 

searches straight from your location the closest 

thing to you. It's something I am using that I 

love. If you have a smart phone definitely take time  
to download the free app and search through it.

Ripped Jeans and Denim

 Ripped denim hasn't really been big since the 90s...so it may come as a surprise that it is back as a fashion trend for women in Spring/Summer 2010. unlike the rebellious heavy torn denim of the 80s, or loose grungy jeans of the 90s, the ripped denim trend is all about being sexy and revealing. So will you be wearing ripped denim this year?

Definitely a trend that is still in the phase of being a 'micro-trend' I expect that the popularity of patched denim will grow on the streets (see more below) long before it becomes a commonality in retail stores. Indeed the look was in sparse supply on the Spring 2010 catwalk though, courtesy of Karl Largerfeld, Chanel patched jeans were to be seen.

Ripped Jeans:
Victoria Secret has some hot jeans for less than $80.
Forever21 also has nice ripped jeans for under $50.
Patched Jeans:
Urban Outfitters has some sexy skinny patched jeans for under $90.

 Ripped and patched jeans can be paired with booties, a v neck t shirt and a boyfriend blazer.

Sheer Trends 2010

Sheer fabric is back as one of the hottest 2010 fashion trends, and plenty of celebrities are wearing it. But don't worry, its not all about tight, see-through tops, and dresses that scream 'look at me" as we saw in the 1990s. Run your eyes over the Spring/Summer 2010 runway collections and you'll find sheer fabrics used in a multitude of ways: tight sheer pieces, layers, and the much sought after delicate, feminine draping..
American Apparel has some sheer tights and other causal pieces under $30.
Urban Outfitters has lace body suits for under $40.
Lulus.com has amazing dresses for under $70.

Hot Pants & Boy Shorts

Most recent fashion trends have pointed to lingerie as outwear so it should come as no surprise. Hem lines continue to become shorter as time marches on, but Spring 2010 maybe the first season where hem lines can be predominantly measured in negative figures.
Hot pants were once considered more suited to a gymnasium than the streets. But then, in the late 2007, the leotard came back into fashion. While it didn't peak on the streets until 2009, and often worn under skirts or shorts, its prevalence guaranteed that hot pants would indeed be worn by forward thinking fashionisers.

It is not for the faint of heart, nor these who aren't confident about their figure.

Wearing Hot Pants in 2010

• Wear hot pants only with heels. Heels will slim out your figure, and give shape to both your legs and derriere.
• Hot pants in Spring 2010 are all about colors and patterns. Don't feel you have to wear them solely in black.
• Night time allows for a whole new level of detailing, such as sequins and studs.
• In wearing these shorts you're showing a lot of skin, so consider pairing them with articles of clothing that tone them down. A loose cut top, such as a billowy blouse or a boyfriend blazer.

Schoolgirl Chic

Spring is here and that means it's time to refresh your wardrobes. The first new season for 2010, and the first since the affects of the global financial crisis have begun the wane. Take this opportunity to not only splurge, but to set a course for how you'll dress for not just Spring, but beyond into 2010.In a year which thigh high boots will be so prominent, this fashion trend should come as no surprise. Normally a humble accessory that most women hide, socks as a women's 2010
fashion trend will be at the fore. Knee high socks and similar styles will be one of the defining looks to work into your wardrobe. They are transeasonal and will be perfect alongside a number of other winter 2010 trends. A label big on over the knee socks is American Apparel. They have the socks in many different colors. Over the knee socks can finish any look off. Dark thigh high socks under over the knee boots make for a strong look. Also, experience with tap pants, hot pants, and short shorts.Another wardrobe staple for Spring/Summer 2010 is the "boyfriend" blazer. Wearing a "boyfriend" blazer is a simply way to look chic on a fresh Spring day or mild Summer night. A slightly oversized jacket or blazer, sleeves rolled up is the pinnacle of relaxed cool. It can be paired with a V neck t-shirt, ripped jeans, and sandals. Wearing leggings with a plaid shirt and riding boots is awesome for a day out with girls shopping. The 'boyfriend" blazer can be found in many stores such as Macys, H & M, Forever 21, Express and The Limited.

Alexander McQueen Final Collection shown in Paris

Alexander McQueen was an innovative and daring designer. McQueen's dramatic designs, worn by celebrities including Lady GaGa, Rihanna and Ayumi Hamasaki, met with critical acclaim and earned him the British Designer of the Year award four times.

The last collection designed by McQueen before his death was shown this morning in Paris. The sixteen looks were walked by slowly and solemnly models, to haunting operatic music. Tears welled down the eyes of more than a few spectators. McQueen's inspiration ranged from Byzantine art and Old masters paintings to the wood carving and sculpture of Grinling Gibbons.

The show ended with the words: "each piece is unique, as was he." Two days from now, retailers will be invited to purchase a showroom collection consisting of 160 pieces.

Oscars Hottest Guys!!

Don't think for one second I forgot about the men on the red carpet. Honestly, I have to say I can't because they all looked Red Hot Sexy!!
Even though, young men wouldn't admit to it, they also want to look amazing on their prom day. Here are three men that rocked the Oscars. Robert Downey Jr., Ryan Reynolds, and Zac Efron all looked handsome in their tuxedos.

Robert Downey Jr. is all about accessories with his turquoise bow-tie and sneakers from the brand and blue-tinted shades. This is an awesome look for a young man that wants to dress formal but add his own spin to a regular tux.








Ryan Reynolds looks classic with a Tom Ford Tux. A suit by Tom
Ford would cost anywhere from $3500 to $5000.












Zac Efron who is wearing a suit straight off Calvin Klein Fall/Winter 2010-11 collection looks spiffy. His snip perfect haircut is super adorable.












Alfani Suit is a suit to accessorize the way Robert Downey Jr. did. This Alfany luxury black two button suit is on sale for $224.99 at Macys.com and would look awesome with hi top sneakers black or navy and a colored bow-tie.







This is more of a classic look just like Ryan Reynolds. Versini Black Tuxedo at a steal for $169.99 at menswearhouse.com. Versini tuxedo should be paired with a solid black bow-tie.






This is a Lauren by Ralph Lauren that can be paired with a skinny tie for that Zac Efron look.It can also be paired with sneakers for a more casual look. The tux is on sale for $319.99 at macys.com.
